You are not alone
When I set up the original version of this website in the 2000’s, this was – and still is – my key message. Having suffered with exhausting anxiety during my pregnancy, I was gratefully reassured that many like me found themselves struggling for all sorts of reasons, and I wanted to make sure others knew they weren’t alone.
You might be able to relate to the signs I describe, you might wonder what the known causes are or just want to know what helpful options there may be. Remember, always speak to your midwife or healthcare team if you’re worried.
It’s been a while since I set up this website. Here are my thoughts on my experience of pregnancy mental health and beyond.

My name is Delphi and I’m a qualified counsellor, well-being trainer and the author of Answers In The Dark: Grief, Sleep and How Dreams Can Help You Heal. I work in the community helping people, as I call it, find their mojo and get their sparkle back.
I have always been open about my experience of feeling desperately anxious during pregnancy, and the impact it had on me (you can read more about this here) and it very much influenced the work I now do. This website has taken many shapes over the years, and it’s my pleasure to provide this resource for you now based on all I’ve learned over that time.
